Screamfest LA is one of the largest and longest-running horror film festivals in the U.S. and returns this week to Hollywood. This year’s Opening Night film Divinity — about the quest for immortality — stars Stephen Dorff, Moises Arias, Jason Genao, Michael O’Hearn, Karrueche Tran and Emily Willis, with Scott Bakula and Bella Thorne. World Premieres at this year’s festival include Alone Together, from director William Kresch about a couple who flee to a remote cabin and encounter a vengeful spirit (of course); the pagan horror story Lord of Misrule from director William Brent Bell; and The Piper, directed by Erlingur Thoroddsen, about a composer tasked with finishing her late mentor's concert but with deadly consequences.
