One For The Books

7:00 PM - 8:15 PM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023
Crawford Family Forum, 474 S. Raymond Ave., Pasadena

Aaaaand we’re back! This time, One For The Books host Traci Thomas (she/her), creator and host of The Stacks podcast, is talking about our obsession with celebrity culture, especially what we expect of famous women. We’ve got the perfect guests for this conversation - iconic Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay (she/her) and writer, comedian, and host of the Celebrity Book Club podcast, Chelsea Devantez (she/her). Rachel’s new book, a romance novel, Real Love, hits the shelves in March - our bookstore partner, The Salt Eaters Bookshop, will be selling copies and Rachel will be signing them. Pre-order her book with your ticket to guarantee you’ll get a copy. We’ll also have games, hot takes, and more!

Traci Thomas is an avid reader and book lover who created the acclaimed podcast, The Stacks, in order to talk about books and the ways they shape our cultural understanding of race, gender, politics, and what it means to be alive. Weekly guests range from academic thought leaders to bestselling authors, from actors to politicians and more; you'll find Ibram X. Kendi, Angelina Jolie, Brit Bennett, Desus and Mero, Quentin Tarantino, and many more on The Stacks. Traci also writes a monthly bookish advice column on Traci lives in LA with her husband aka Mr. Stacks, and her twins, the Mini Stacks. You can find her on Instagram @thestackspod.
