Los Angeles Unified Board of Education District 6 Candidate Roundtable - A Voter Game Plan Event
- Virtual/Online
More than half a million students attend public and charter schools in Los Angeles. The people ultimately responsible for whether those students are learning are the seven members of the L.A. Unified School District’s Board of Education, each of which has their own geographic district. The board is positioned to make decisions about several critical issues facing the district, including: reversing the district's declining enrollment; mitigating learning loss; improving student mental health; and managing the district's significant resources, including money and classroom space.
Join us on October 12 as KPCC/LAist’s Senior Reporter for K-12 Education Kyle Stokes (he/him) talks with the candidates for District 6 in this live virtual event. This district covers an area covering much of the eastern half of the San Fernando Valley. You’ll hear from the candidates about how they plan to effect change and support kids and families in their district.
