Go Fact Yourself is a pop culture trivia show hosted by J. Keith van Straaten (he/him) (Ask Me Another, Senior Writer) and Helen Hong (she/her) (Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me, recurring panelist).

On February 28, standup comedian Jordan Carlos (“The Colbert Report” and “The Larry Wilmore Show”) and actor/comedian Erinn Hayes, plus surprise guest experts will join J. Keith and Helen for a trivia show like no other!

Register for free for general admission or reserve a guaranteed seat for $20. Concessions available starting at 6 p.m.

Go Fact Yourself can be heard on LAist 89.3 on Saturdays at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Sundays at 8 p.m.

About Jordan Carlos

Jordan Carlos is a stand up comedian and actor based in New York. He recently starred in and wrote for the first season of Phoebe Robinson’s “Everything’s Trash” (Freeform). He has also written for “Divorce” (HBO), written and performed on “First Wives Club” (BET) and written/performed for “The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore” (Comedy Central). He also appears in Black Mirror (Netflix), Nora From Queens (Comedy Central), Party Down (Starz) and the “Home Alone” reboot on Disney Plus. In addition, Jordan co-hosts the hit podcast “Adulting” on Exactly Right Media with Michelle Buteau. Other notable writing credits include “The White House Correspondents Dinner” (2016) as well as “The Not The White House Correspondents Dinner” with Samantha Bee (2017).

 Jordan also recently starred in the Emmy nominated episode of “The Conversation Project” on Hulu (Andscape Studios), and in Mary Dauterman’s debut feature, “Booger”. He also features in “After This Death” (Lucio Castro) opposite Lee Pace and Gwendoline Christie, as well as in the short film “Knead” by Timothy Michael Cooper (Indy Shorts, HollyShorts, Croatian International Film Festival). Jordan's debut comedy book, CHOREPLAY: THE MARRIAGE-SAVING MAGIC OF GETTING YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS, comes out Feb 10th.

About Erinn Hayes

Erinn Hayes can currently be seen on It’s Not Like That for Wonder Projects on Amazon which premiered in late January to a 100% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. She earned an Emmy nomination for her starring role in the cult hit Children’s Hospital and reprised the role in the Netflix spin-off Medical Police. Hayes previously starred opposite Kevin James in the CBS comedy Kevin Can Wait and led the Netflix comedy Huge in France.

She was recently seen in the Comedy Central film Office Race alongside Beck Bennett and in the HBO Max sequel A Christmas Story Christmas. Additional credits include the Starz limited series Gaslit opposite Julia Roberts, a recurring role on ABC’s The Goldbergs, and the feature film Bill & Ted Face the Music opposite Keanu Reeves.


About J. Keith Van Straaten

J. Keith van Straaten is a content producer/writer for TV game shows, including The Hustler, Master Minds, Funny You Should Ask, and In the USA Today, and wrote trivia questions for Bally Sports. He was also a longtime senior writer on NPR’s Ask Me Another.

Previously, he wrote many of the games on GSN’s Chain Reaction and the iPhone trivia app Arena. He created and hosted the live matchmaking show The Fix-Up Show, as well as hosting What’s My Line? – Live On Stage and Comedy Central’s Beat The Geeks.

J. Keith has appeared on Best Week Ever, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Beverly Hills, 90210, and a deleted scene in Gilmore Girls.

As a journalist, J. Keith has written about COVID and comedy for the Los Angeles Times, points and miles for ThePointsGuy.com, and theatre for tdf Stages magazine.

J. Keith has two cats and is an avid Angels fan.


About Helen Hong

A fan favorite on the hit NPR podcast Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, Helen Hong also co-hosts the celebrity trivia game show podcast Go Fact Yourself. Helen's acting credits include roles on Never Have I Ever, Silicon Valley, the Jennifer Garner Christmas movie Family Switch, and 5 seasons of The Thundermans on Nickelodeon.

A long-time touring standup comedian, Helen's comedy special Well Hong was co-produced by Comedy Dynamics and Tribeca Film Festival, and is streaming now on Amazon Prime & Apple TV+. Audiences love Helen's lightning quick crowdwork which can be seen on her Instagram and TikTok @funnyhelenhong.

A breast cancer survivor, Helen makes light of her cancer experience (and her "fresh new boobies") onstage. She also brings light to Asian-American issues with her family's YouTube channel "Old Korean Dad Stories."
