'Fake It Until You Make It'

From January 29, 2025 through March 9, 2025
  • Mark Taper Forum, 135 N. Grand Ave., Downtown L.A.
From $40.25
Five actors are on stage in character in a colorful purple, pink, and yellow set built to look like the inside of a house or office. Four of the actors are all holding onto a confetti canister that's gone off with smoke and colorful confetti spraying out of the top. A fifth actor is upstage, standing on steps as she points at the others in awe.
From L to R: Dakota Ray Hebert, Brandon Delsid, Eric Stanton Betts, Noah Bean, and Tonantzin Carmelo in "Fake It Until You Make It" at the Mark Taper Forum.

After a delay due to the Taper slowing down productions post-pandemic, we’re finally able to see Fake It Until You Make It, Larissa FastHorse’s much-anticipated follow-up to her acclaimed The Thanksgiving Play (2023). The new comedy takes place in the nonprofit world (ahem, we wouldn’t know anything about that around here…) and stars Julie Bowen (Modern Family) as River, a white woman who works at a Native American organization.
