Eldorado Ballroom: Glory to Glory (A Revival for Spiritual and Devotional Art)

A black and white photograph of Malcolm J. Merriweather conducting a musical ensemble. Malcom is a man with dark skin tone and short tightly wound black hair. He wears dark pants and a dark v-neck t-shirt with white suspenders. He is looking to the right side of the photo, gesturing with his raised left arm and hand and with a baton in his right hand. Visible in the photo are about five string musicians surrounding him, playing violin, viola, and cello.

Glory to Glory (A Revival for Spiritual and Devotional Art) honors and celebrates the commitment of artists to both their faith and their craft, blending tribute and ministry in a powerful homage. The evening will highlight the spiritual choral compositions of the late Mary Lou Williams, featuring performances by The GMWA Women Of Worship Choir, organist Dominique Johnson featuring Moses Sumney, and the choral and piano works of Mary Lou Williams performed by Artina McCain and a choir conducted by Malcolm J. Merriweather.
