Celebrate the 20th anniversary of ArroyoFest, which was first hosted on June 15, 2003, seven years before the first cicLAvia. The event provides the public the opportunity to experience the national historic byway—the 110 Freeway, which first opened in 1940—up close. The freeway will be closed off to traffic from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and open for walking, biking and skating. Off the freeway, Mission St. will be closed to cars through 2 p.m. The event is easily accessible via Metro.
