The Coast Film & Music Festival is an annual showcase of adventure and documentary films that brings together a "community of creators, change makers and fans to celebrate adventure, the human spirit, conservation and the art of story." In addition to the main festival, there are community outdoor experiences, student film showcases and educational programs for K-12. The opening night of the festival takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 5 p.m. at Hobie Surf Shop, Laguna Beach. Watch the feature-length film Wild Life, directed by Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi, and see a Q&A with host Pat Parnell and professional rock climber and Patagonia athlete Timmy O'Neill. Live music from Par Avion starts the evening.
