Gloria Molina Grand Park showcases a public art installation that honors the longtime customs and traditions of Día de los Muertos/Day of the Dead. For 12 days, explore the park and 19 altars created by professional artists and local organizations honoring their deceased loved ones. Visitors can also contribute to the annual community altar which will honor the victims of gun violence in Monterey Park and those who perished in Maui’s wildfires. The Opening Day Community Celebration takes place on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a mariachi band, folklórico dancers and arts activities. The closing night features an outdoor screening of Macario (1960) on Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
