I report across beats, including everything from housing to environmental justice. But instead of starting stories by exploring my own questions, I'm guided by what you want to know.
My job is to listen carefully to what you’re curious about, what keeps you up at night and who you want held accountable. Your questions and messages shape my work as I report and investigate, and sometimes I’ll ask you to join me so we can discover important stories together.
Growing up, I spent a good part of the day riding the bus from Southeast L.A. to the South Bay for school. This served as a daily reminder of the vast disparities between zip codes in our county, especially when it comes to housing, education, recreational spaces and even the air we breathe. I love L.A., but I think we have a lot of room for improvement.
When I’m not working, I’m often gazing at murals or riding my bike along one of our rivers. I’m also into poetry, so if you have a reading coming up, let me know.
