Jill Replogle
I have the best new beat in our newsroom, covering pathways to higher education and the obstacles students face along the way. By students, I mean ALL students of ALL ages, especially those who have historically been shut out of higher education.
And by higher education, I mean the full range: short-term certificate programs to four-year colleges.
My goal is to make every story I report useful to students and the people who support students.
I'm relatively new to the education beat, but in my two decades as a journalist, I've covered everything from homelessness in Orange County to drug smuggling in Central America.
I can think of no better place to live than within a few hours drive of the ocean, mountains and desert. Check!
Can't pronounce my last name? I'm happy to give a tutorial, or you can just call me "Reps."
