Woman Apparently Beaten to Death in Pacoima
Police this morning are investigating the apparent beating death of a 45-year-old woman whose body was found in Pacoima at 2:30 a.m. today.
The alleged assault was reported by a passer-by who discovered the victim at the San Fernando Gardens housing project, near the intersection of Lehigh Avenue and Carl Street, and called 911. The victim, whose name hasn't been released, appears to have died from blunt force trauma, according to City News Service.
The LA Times reports that four homicides have happened in the past year within one mile of the San Fernando Gardens housing project.
