CSUN Student Called 9-1-1 On Ex Before She Was Killed In Double Murder
Police are looking for the ex-boyfriend of a 22-year-old woman who was gunned down along with another man in her Winnetka home yesterday.Police are looking for Brian Anthony Gonzales, 22, who they believe was involved in the murder of 24-year-old Jerrad Conrad Scott and an unidentified 22-year-old woman.
Yesterday at about 4:20 p.m., Topanga police responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 7600 block of Oso Avenue in Winnetka, according to a release from the LAPD. Police say that a woman had called 9-1-1 and told the dispatcher that her ex-boyfriend was at her house with a gun. When authorities arrived, they found that Scott and the woman had been shot. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by LAFD authorities. Police later identified Gonzalez as the woman's ex-boyfriend.
A neighbor of the victim, Lisa Lyons, said she heard about eight shots, "one after the other," according to KTLA.
The female victim's identity is being withheld until authorities can notify her next of kin, but Lyons told KTLA that she was a Cal State Northridge student with aspirations of working in law enforcement. Police say that Scott lived in La Mesa in San Diego County.
Gonzalez, who may also go by "Brian Hammond," has been described as a 24-year-old black male who is about 5'7" and 160 pounds.
