It's March Madness, the Big Dance, what have you and now is the time where all work productivity ceases and everyone in the country fills out a bracket. We here at LAist are suckers for this, so we are holding a contest. Go to LAist's group page on Yahoo! Sports, and fill out a bracket.

Scoring will works as follows:

  • First round - one point + seed number
  • Second round - two points + seed number
  • Sweet Sixteen - four points + seed number
  • Elite Eight - eight points + seed number
  • Final Four - 16 points + seed number
  • Championship - 32 points + seed number

So if you have 15th seeded Cal State Northridge upsetting Memphis in the first round and they pull off the upset, you will get one point + 15.
The LAist reader with the most number of points at the end will have bragging rights and receive a prize that we're still putting together. Deadline is 9 am PDT on Thursday for all brackets.

Edit: Changed things over to Yahoo because CBS Sports was being stupid about people joining. Sorry for the hassle!
