Vlade's Back!

Now it's official. Vlade is back! Why did Vlade want to come back? Well, aside from the fact that his wife is an actress who never left, Vlade is honest."I had been trying to convince myself that I should stay with Sacramento," Divac said. "But it's not just about me. It's a family thing. You try to tell yourself that money is not important. But really, money is important. I don't know what I'm going to do when I stop playing. I don't want to look back five or 10 years from now and say, 'Vlade, you were so stupid leaving that money there.'"
Thanks, Vlade we appreciate the honesty.
And we'd also like to thank Karl Malone, for whom it's not about the money. Few Lakers have ever sacrificed as much as Malone, from taking an $18 million pay cut to becoming a role player to now not holding up the Lakers by willing to take the minimum if he returns. Karl, whether you're a Spur, Heat, or Laker, LAist salutes you.
