Vintage Video: Touring Hollywood By Helicopter, 1958
Kitty is an acting hopeful in 1958, and before she shoots her very first movie scene, she's treated to this helicopter tour of Hollywood.
Well, by "Hollywood" the often-cheeky narrator means Hollywood in the colloquial sense; Kitty (and the viewer) gets an overhead look at Los Angeles' many motion picture studios of the day, from the blue screen and lake of 20th Century Fox to the Burbank house a mouse built (aka Mickey) at Disney Studios.
Of course, there's a wistful look at the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard (look at all those parking spaces on either side!) and then Kitty is dropped off at Warner Brothers on set.
Phew! It's a glamorous life, isn't it?
