Want to beat the Thanksgiving traffic madness? Get in line.

A quick look at Sigalert, CHP traffic incident page, Google maps and of course angry tweets shows that even 2pm today was way too late to late to beat the rush.

The worst areas: anywhere around the 405/10 interchange, the southbound 101 through Hollywood, the 134 in both directions near the Valley, the better part of the 5 through the whole county (especially near the 118 this morning where one person was killed earlier) and the eastbound 210 through the San Gabriel Valley. Any freeway headed toward downtown looks terrible.

On Google maps, we're seeing lots of yellow on surface streets and lots of red near Beverly Hills and downtown. But we don't need to tell you that — it looks like most of you are already on the road!
