Over a week after music video director Travis Joel Peterson was last seen, his dead body has been discovered in a Volvo parked in La Cañada-Flintridge. Police are investigating his death as a possible suicide.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Peterson left a voicemail to his wife Emilie Halpern at 2:00 p.m. on December 29. He was later caught on security camera footage at a 76 gas station on the 1500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada. He was reported missing on December 30.

According to KCBS, Peterson's body was found Friday night in a white Volvo parked on the first floor of a garage in front of an old Sports Chalet on the 900 block of Foothill. His identity was confirmed by authorities Saturday morning.

"Travis has been found," Halpern posted to her Instagram on Saturday. "I want to express my deep gratitude to everyone who shared information and searched for him. He was found because of his friends. This is a devastating loss and we are heartbroken. Sending love to you all."
