With a 3 a.m. Pacific start time, today's royal wedding, which made commoner Catherine "Kate" Middleton not only the wife of Prince William, but also royalty herself, had DVRs fired up all over the West Coast. Some die-hard royals watchers, romantics, British ex-pats, and party people, however, made a celebration of it, and gathered in pubs in the wee hours to hoist a few pints and glasses of champagne to watch the television coverage of the special event.

Though there were several places you could go last night in L.A. to watch the live broadcast (and still many places for drinks and tea and William and Kate insanity throughout today), we've got a few images from the Tiaras and Pajamas party held at the Cat N' Fiddle Pub & Restaurant on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, where attendees were swept away in the spirit (and the spirits?) of the festive occasion...with maybe a bit less formality than the crowd at Westminster Abbey.
