John McCain in LA Today Just a day ahead of the much-talked about VP debate on Thursday, Republican presidential nominee Joh McCain hoped wallets ran deep at a fundraiser at the Century Plaza Hyatt Regency in Century City. We figured folks were going to score the lapel pin that came with your $1-2.5k ticket.

Video of Man Punching Teen Girl at McDonald's Video captured inside a McDonald's near Crenshaw and Florence in South LA shows an unidentified man in a blue polo shirt repeatedly punching a 16-year-old girl in the face. LAist Movie Review: 1,000 Years of Good Prayers It is hard to say anything about this review because the review says it so well: "Assuming you’re not a zombie [...] you will find no redeemable quality to this movie, beyond it’s ability to euthanize. The sad part is that 1,000 Years isn’t bad in that way that makes movies like Strange Brew so good. It’s actually bad. Coming in at a shade over two hours, one might be better spending their time debating the importance of subtlety to Flavor Flav. Anything, really." Sounds like you should be thanking us...really.
