Suspicious Package Shuts Down Area in Studio City

Around 3 p.m., LAPD officers responded to the 4200 block of Ethel Avenue in Studio City, between Ventura Blvd. and the Los Angeles River. A "suspicious package" was reported, prompting street closures and a call to the bomb squad. No word yet on the outcome of the situation, according to LAPD officials.
