Over at Blogging.la, Koga has a question:

Was traffic blisfully lighter than usual on the freeways last week, perhaps due to remnants of the Fourth of July weekend?

Totally, dude. That's the best part about the holidays - all of the aspiring actors go back to Kansas for a spell, and our streets are left pristine and clear. LAist relishes these periods, as one can drive like it's 1989 and get from place to place in a reasonable amount of time. Even the goddamn 405 is worth it - at least until everyone uses it to snake back up to the city from LAX.

Meanwhile, over at Luke Ford's blogger page, Cathy Seipp says what we've been thinking:

Can you please do us all a favor and get OFF THIS HIDEOUS BLOGGER format, which is affecting your writing (and not for the better) and GET BACK to your pristinely clean, easy-to-read LukeFord.net? PLEASE????

LAist is a big fan of Mr. Ford's impassioned blogging about his journeys as a porn-observer-turned-Jewish-journalist, but his blogger-formatted page is basically unbearable. Luke! For once, listen to the lady!
