In today's morbid and tasteless report, we've come across a Palm Springs Craigslist posting for Sonny Bono's alleged death skis.An LAist reader looking for just a regular old pair of skis came across a post offering up a pair that belonged to Sonny Bono. Yes, that Sonny Bono of Sonny and Cher fame. Yes, those skis that he had with him on that fateful trip to Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe in 1998. The seller calls it "an extremely rare opportunity to own an unusual piece of rock and roll history."

Here's the backstory of the skis, according to the post:

"They were shipped back to Los Angeles/ Palm Springs after the tragic accident and are still wrapped in the American Airlines travel plastic bag with correct identification and dates. (see picture) This pair of skis, along with a matching pair belonging to Mary, were sent to a consignment shop here in Palm Springs soon after Sonny's death."

The poster is entertaining offers in cash or trades "antique cars, antique slot machines, antique advertising (old signs and store items), antique outside horn phonographs, gold record awards, etc."
