Woman Stabbed In The Face By A Robber While Walking In Silver Lake

A woman was allegedly stabbed in the face early this morning in Silver Lake by a purse snatcher. The woman was walking near Sunset Blvd. and Parkman Ave. shortly before 2 a.m. this morning when she was approached by a man in his 30s, KTLA reports. Police say he stabbed the woman in the face and stole her purse.

The woman, described by KTLA as elderly, was taken to County USC Medical Center. Her current condition is unknown, but she was conscious and speaking with paramedics when they arrived to the scene.

A description of the man beyond his apparent age is unavailable.
