The car belonging to UCLA shooter Mainak Sarkar has been found in Culver City.Just before 2 p.m., Friday afternoon, police located the gray Nissan Sentra with Minnesota plates on the 11300 block of Washington Place, west of Sawtelle Boulevard, according to KTLA. The discovery comes just a day after LAPD Chief Charlie Beck asked for the public's help in finding Sarkar's vehicle, saying they wanted "the evidence contained."

Police have cordoned off the area as a bomb squad is en route to secure the car:

Police believe Sarkar drove from Minnesota to Los Angeles with two guns.

On Friday, the Hennepin County coroner's office confirmed the identity of Ashley Hasti, the Minnesota woman believed to have been shot and killed by Sarkar before he traveled to Southern California and killed UCLA professor William Klug. According to the medical examiner's report, Hasti was shot "multiple" times, but her time of death could not be determined because of the lack of witnesses.

Public records show that Hasti was married to Sarkar, but the extent of their relationship before she was killed is unknown.

On Wednesday morning, Sarkar walked into Klug's office and shot and killed the professor before turning the gun on himself. Klug was Sarkar's advisor at UCLA, and in a blog post written in March, he accused the professor of stealing his code and giving it to another student.
