San Diego Sports Anchor Shot At His Home In Scripps Ranch
A San Diego news anchor was shot this afternoon outside him home in Scripps Ranch.
Kyle Kraska, Sports Director for CBS 8 in San Diego, was shot today at about 3 p.m. outside his home in the 12000 block of Avonette Court in Scripps Ranch, Fox 5 San Diego reports. A neighbor said that she heard Kraska arguing with a man who'd been painting his home, then heard gunshots. Another neighbor saw someone shoot at Kraska's car, a silver Mercedes-Benz, several times before leaving the scene in a white minivan. The car, with the windows shattered, could be seen via aerial footage of the scene. Kraska was not in his car when he was shot. Police are still looking for the shooter.
Kraska was transported to a nearby hospital for multiple gunshot wounds and is currently in surgery, Kraska's own CBS 8 reports. His injuries are not life threatening.
Kraska had previously worked as an evening news anchor for KCBS in Los Angeles, according to his CBS 8 bio.
