A woman was wounded after police shot her in the leg in a parking garage at Hollywood and Highland early this morning.

LAPD say they received a call around 1:24 a.m. from a security guard who reported a fight that broke out between two women. One of them was beating a scooter with a baseball bat. Police say they fired on the woman with a bat after she took a handgun out of her pocket and aimed it at the other woman, the security guard and police, according to KTLA.

The woman was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was treated for a gunshot wound on her left leg, according to City News Service. The shooting happened on the lower-level parking are at the Hollywood & Highland Center.

The woman was described only as a woman in her 30s or 40s, according to CBS Los Angeles.
