Police Shoot Woman In Downtown

A woman was shot by police this afternoon in downtown.

Police say that they were called in to respond to a disturbance in the 100 block of East Third Street around 12:45 p.m., according to City News Service. Police say that the woman, described only as a woman in her 50s, had a knife.

There are few details about what happened, but one of the responding police officers shot the woman. She was taken to a hospital, and ABC 7 reported that she was in serious condition:
