The victim, identified at 35-year-old William Jennings, is seen being confronted by the unidentified assailant before being stabbed and left for dead. According to Jennings' wife, Tamysha, the couple had just come home from a work Christmas party when Jennings decided to walk to a convenience store. Jennings also leaves behind an 11-year-old daughter, the L.A. Times reports.
"Are you serious? That you took somebody's life over, to me, nothing," Tamysha Jennings told KTLA.
There is currently no motive for the seemingly random attack. The suspect is described as an African-American male, about 30-40 years old, who is 5 foot 8 to six feet tall and 180 pounds.
