LAPD Release Video of Violent Post-Lakers Win Taxi Attack
The above video is raw footage that includes foul language and violence.
In the hopes that someone will come forward with information about the identity of those involved in the violent outbursts and acts of vandalism that took place in Downtown after Thursday night's Lakers NBA Championship win, the LAPD have released raw video footage of an episode in which fans destroy a taxi cab, reports LA Now.
During the course of the almost 7-minutes of footage, people are seen letting the air out of the car's tires, throwing objects at the car, rocking the car, tagging the car, smashing the windows, jumping on the car, and more, to the continual shouts of glee from the crowd.
The LAPD are asking that anyone with information about the people seen in the footage to call the Los Angeles Police Department or the Los Angeles Fire Department. The LAFD Arson/Counter-Terrorism Section number is (213) 485-6095.
How destroying someone else's property that constitutes their livelihood expresses the joy of celebrating a sports team's victory is perplexing, however there were many similar incidents that the LAPD faced as part of the post-game melee Thursday night.
