A woman shot herself in the head after leading police on a chase through the Hollywood Hills this morning.

Police responded to a report that shots had been fired in Hollywood early this morning. They responded and found a suspect at the intersection of Sunset and Gower around 3:30 am, according to City News Service.

The woman led police from Hollywood into the Hollywood Hills through Laurel Canyon and into Studio City. She pulled into a parking garage in the 4500 block of Coldwater Canyon Avenue where she shot herself in the head. She was rushed to the hospital but her condition was described as grave by police. Her name has not been released.

LAPD Sgt. Sal Ogaz of the Hollywood Station told CNS: "The female suspect apparently got into an argument with another woman. It's unclear if the woman she was fighting with actually was in the suspect's car but, at some point, the woman we were pursuing allegedly fired a gun at the woman."
