Plane Crash-Lands On 405 Freeway In Long Beach
A small plane crash-landed just on the side of the 405 freeway in Long Beach this afternoon.
It happened around 1 pm not far from the Long Beach Airport. Fortunately, there weren't any injuries reported, according to City News Service.
It was a banner-tow plane, according to KNX. The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert around 1:10 p.m., shutting down the on-ramp and off-ramp on the northbound side of the freeway at Cherry Avenue.
So far no FAA officials have commented (and we're guessing a lot of the FAA's attention is directed at the deadly crash in San Francisco today).
