Before you
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

A party was held last night in Downtown at the Farmers & Merchants Bank to raise money in support of the employees of The Must, the wine bar that was subject to an unexpected eviction last weekend.

Guests donated $20 at the door to attend and enjoyed beer and wine as well as the chance to hear some music and hang out with other members of the community while showing their support for the staff, who suddenly found themselves unemployed this week. A tip jar was on hand for extra donations, and a table was set up to sell "The Must Won't Bust" t-shirts, which are also available online.

The fate of The Must is largely expected to be decided through the courts, as the involved parties pursue their legal options and await a verdict about the legality of the eviction.
