Valiant shoppers in Burbank are already lining up at a Best Buy, braving the cold and the wind chill to get a deal on a laptop.

The camping consumers began pitching their tents in front of the electronics superstore on Sunday night, according to ABC 7. The campers are on a mission to get the finest deals on electronics that may or may not become obsolete once the next holiday season comes around.

"Last year we got a laptop for maybe a couple hundred only. We spent almost a thousand, but we got a bunch of stuff," shopper Ernesto Delacruz, who brought his entire family to camp out with him, told ABC 7.

Retailers are making an effort to turn Black Friday into a much longer event than just the dismal Thanksgiving night. Wal-Mart, in particular, started advertising their Black Friday deals at the beginning of November in the hopes of attracting trigger-happy consumers like moths to a flame.
