She has been in prison since the attack in 2011, and she will be eligible for parole in seven years, according to City News Service.

The victim survived the vicious attack testified that he spent a few days in a hospital and though he underwent surgery it was "not reconstructive surgery" for his penis but it did "make it usable as far as going to the bathroom.''

Kieu pleaded not guilty to the charges and her attorney Frank Bittar argued that his client suffered form PTSD due to long-term sexual abuse. However, the Deputy District Attorney John Christl argued that Kieu refused to accept her husband's demand for a divorce.
