We sat down with John Horn, who hosts "The Frame," KPCC's arts and entertainment show, to pick his brain about what's likely to take place at this Sunday's 92nd Academy Awards ceremony.

His call on Best Picture?

"I think this is really a two person race for Best Director between 'Parasite's' Bong Joon-Ho and '1917's' Sam Mendez."

Some other predictions?
"I think a lot of people believe that Renee Zellweger is gonna win the Best Actress Oscar for playing Judy Garland in 'Judy' and Joaquin Phoenix is probably going to win Lead Actor for his role in 'Joker,' which is the most nominated film. I think that movie could also pick up an Oscar win for best score."

Is there a chance Netlfix will be shut our despite getting 24 nods?
"No, it's not going to happen because Laura Dern is going to win for supporting actress in 'Marriage Story' a Netflix film. I also think they have a shot of winning Animated Feature for 'Klaus', and I think they have a really good chance for winning Documentary Feature for 'American Factory'.

So, they're probably not going to win any major awards. They're going to go home with some hardware and that's going to be important stuff for Netflix going forward. "
