The woman returned the bag and the store released the critter back into the wild. A Michigan agriculture official said that wasn't proper protocol because the frog might be an invasive species.

Good morning. I'm Steve Inskeep. A Detroit-area woman bought a package of spinach and was surprised to find a live frog inside. She returned the bag to the store, and they released the critter back into the wild. But a Michigan agriculture official said that was not proper protocol. The frog might be an invasive species which might now be trying to hitch a ride back home.
