New Trader Joe's Premieres in Hollywood

We need to hear from you.
Today, put a dollar value on the trustworthy reporting you rely on all year long. The local news you read here every day is crafted for you, but right now, we need your help to keep it going. In these uncertain times, your support is even more important. We can't hold those in power accountable and uplift voices from the community without your partnership. Thank you.

Roll out the red carpet, set up the velvet ropes, and open up your reusable grocery tote, Hollywood-ites! Friday May 21 was opening day for the much-anticipated Trader Joe's in Hollywood on Vine Street.

Looks like Montrose may be next, much to the ongoing chagrin of Downtowners, who have long lobbied for the South Pasadena-based grocer to set up shop in their neck of the woods.

Here's a look inside the tinseltown-themed store, located in the W Hotel building at Vine and Selma, on its opening day.

PS You can park your car underground, but good luck finding a place to park your bicycle.
