(More) Changes at LAist

Before you read more...
Dear reader, we're asking you to help us keep local news available for all. Your financial support keeps our stories free to read, instead of hidden behind paywalls. We believe when reliable local reporting is widely available, the entire community benefits. Thank you for investing in your neighborhood.

In the wake of Tom Berman's departure from the LAist staff, we've been hard at work gathering new contributors to fill the hole in our roster. Thankfully, LA is a city brimming with talent, so we face the end of Tom's editorial tenure with the addition of four new writers: Mark, Scott, Jerry and Paul.

Chances are some of you are familiar with all four through their excellent personal blogging projects: Mark through Music (for Robots), Scott through Skunks of Los Feliz, Jerry through Why Jerry Why? and Paul through Words for My Enjoyment and his contributions to mental_floss magazine. We hope you like them as much as we do.

We're still hard at work developing a new interview feature for the site (helmed by our own Jessica Ritz), among other things, so stay tuned for all the improvements coming up at LAist!
