An Apparently Drunk Michael Madsen Gets Arrested After Trying to Take His Son's Pot Away
"Kill Bill" and "Reservoir Dogs" star Michael Madsen was arrested by sheriff's deputies in Malibu yesterday afternoon on suspicion of child endangerment.
Madsen's lawyer Perry Wander told TMZ that Madsen got into a fight with his 15-year-old son after trying to take his pot away. Wander told TMZ, "[Michael] found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It's a family matter and Michael asks that his families [sic] privacy be respected."
When deputies showed up to respond to a call they had received, they said Madsen, 54, appeared to be drunk, according to the Los Angeles Times.
It's not clear what else had been going on before deputies were called to the scene, but detectives are investigating whether there was any physical abuse. The actor was released on $100K bail, and he could face felony charges depending on what investigators find.
