Mayor Sam's Top 10 Dumbest Moves in LA in 2006

This story is free to read because readers choose to support LAist. If you find value in independent local reporting, make a donation to power our newsroom today.

For the last two and a half years, Michael Higby has been the editor of Mayor Sam's Sister City, one of Los Angeles' best known and most controversial blog covering municipal politics.

He is also the alter ego of the blog's chief writer, the lovable "dead, Republican Mayor," Sam Yorty, which is based on the late Los Angeles Mayor who served during the 1960s and 1970s.

Higby has been a community activist in the San Fernando Valley, where he lives, and is the past president of the California Junior Chamber.

His blog is exactly the way we like it: raw, cranky, aggressive, funny, and updated daily.

We were thrilled when he accepted our invitation to create a Top 10 of 2006 list and after the jump you can read his Top 10 Dumbest Moves in Los Angeles in 2006...
