Thousands of Angelenos gathered in MacArthur Park late Monday morning in support of immigrant and workers' rights. The group will march east down Wilshire to downtown Los Angeles before joining with other May Day marchers at Grand Park across from City Hall for a rally at 1:30 p.m.

Large groups from various unions were represented at the MacArthur Park rally, along with the Democratic Socialists of America, faith groups, and immigrant rights groups, among many others.

If you're around downtown today, take note that there'll be street closures.
