A man in Fresno was arrested after he attacked his wife, threatened to kill her and made off with the pair's 2-year-old child. He had apparently become enraged because his wife was posting selfies to Instagram.Julio Benitez, 37, was arrested last Wednesday on suspicion of domestic violence and making criminal threats, Fresno police told the Los Angeles Times.

Police say that when Benitez's wife tried to delete the selfies to placate him, he lunged at her, choked her, punched her several times and threatened to kill her. She was able to break free and run away with their 5-year-old and 7-year-old but the 2-year-old was left behind. Benitez took the toddler and fled before police arrived. They searched for him and finally found Benitez and the 2-year-old unharmed.

Police determined the man was under the influence of a stimulant and found an air pistol in the house, the Fresno Bee reported.
