A man and his daughter were found face-down in the parking lot of a Long Beach church yesterday morning next to a bloody note.

It's not clear exactly what happened but the young girl had been stabbed to death and the man had self-inflicted wounds, according to City News Service. A passerby saw the two bodies around 11 am and assumed that they had been dumped there until she caught the gaze of the man.

"He was ... conscious looking back toward me, but there was blood everywhere," Nancy Eomurian said. She called 9-1-1.

They were found at Los Altos Methodist Church next to a note written in blood. The man was hospitalized and when he is released, he will be booked with murder. It's not clear if the girl is his daughter or step-daughter. Neither his name nor the girl's have been released.
