Authorities are on the search for any leads in the shooting death of a 27-year old man in Torrance early Sunday morning.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies were called to the scene just after 1 a.m. near the intersection of Berendo Avenue and West 229th Street in unincorporated Torrance after receiving calls of a man lying in the street and bleeding. The victim was only described as a 27-year old Asian male, according to CBS 2.

Deputies say that the man suffered from multiple gunshot wounds and tried to render aid, but paramedics declared him dead once they arrived on the scene.

The man may have been riding a bicycle on the street before he was shot. Witnesses recall hearing multiple gunshots in the area, but investigators so far have no description of a suspect or vehicle.
