A man was struck and killed this morning while he was walking on the 101 Freeway in Hollywood.

CHP received reports at around 5 a.m. about a pedestrian on the freeway near the Highland Avenue exit, according to ABC7. CHP Officer Chris Baldonado told KTLA that soon after, one car hit the man, but he kept walking, and when a second car hit him, that killed him.

It's not clear at this time why he was walking on the 101 Freeway. The man, who was not identified, may have been a transient, according to Baldonado.
