Watch This Plane Make A Hard Landing On Its Belly At LAX
On an LAX runway this morning, a pilot had to make a dramatic hard landing on the plane's belly after some of its landing gear didn't deploy.
The pilot of SkyWest Flight 5316, a plane coming from Monterey and operating through United Express, managed to safely land the jetliner around 8:30 a.m. None of the 43 passengers and crew members on board were injured, according to KTLA.
The problems started when the jetliner's left main landing gear didn't full deploy. The plane's left wing was seen scraping the runway with sparks flying before it came to a stop.
The passengers and crew members were bussed from the runway and taken to the terminal. Mechanics will investigate what caused the issue. Expect some delays at the airport today.
