Where's he Russian off to? HEY OH! Courtesy Nuno_Oliveira via LAist Flickr Photo Pool.

The comedy is back in full swing this week around LA, with an incredible show to see every night (if you're so inclined). From sketch to stand up to improv to theatre, it's all represented and it's all great this week. Thanks to everyone tagging their Flickr photos with 'lastlaugh', you're really helping to make this comedy round-up great! And be sure to add any shows you think we missed in the comments.

MONDAY 1/12

Ultimate X-Ecution, 8p iO. Help join in the search for LA's best improviser, American Idol-style.

Benson Interruption, 11p UCB. One of my favorite shows in LA, Doug Benson (Super High Me) invites stand up comics in and then interrupts whenever he feels like it.

TUESDAY 1/13

A Night of Funny People, 7p Orpheum Theatre. Judd Apatow hosts a night of comedy with Sandler, Rogen, Aziz, Patton and others, and it's all being filmed for an upcoming Apatow movie.

Showtime on Sunset, 8:30 Comedy Store. Joe Clair hosts this stand up show with the hope of some celebrity backing.

WEDNESDAY 1/14

Evening with Jon Lovitz, 8p Laugh Factory. Yeah, he's been in residency here since like 1945, but you probably still haven't gone. And you should.

ComedyJuice, 10p The Improv. We've said it before, but this is one of the hottest young stand up shows in LA. Daniel Tosh is sold out at The Improv two nights later, so there's a good chance of a drop-in.

THURSDAY 1/15

We Work For Your Dad, 8p Comedy Central Stage. Great character comedy from Ben Seeder and Christopher Lee.

Convoy, 11p UCB. Go see this show. It's probably the best 3 man improv on the West Coast.

FRIDAY 1/16

Greg Behrendt, 8p Comedy & Magic Club. Author (and supposed funnyman) behind He's Just Not That Into You. Come on ladies, he was a former consultant for Sex and the City!

Tom Papa, 8:30p Ice House Pasadena. Tom Papa opens for Jerry Seinfeld, was in Analyza That with DeNiro, and is writing a movie with Rob Zombie. What more do you need?

Let's Do This!, 11p UCB. A whole new slew of improv teams take the stage, hosted by the hilarious and cute-as-a-button Amanda & Jennie. Be sure to catch team Deep Focus.

SATURDAY 1/17

Greater Tuna, 8p Knight's Bridge. A two-man show about bringing George Bush back to Texas, where he belongs.

Sponsored message

Aziz Ansari, 9p Largo. Hilarious Aziz (Human Giant) is on his Glow In The Dark stand up tour. Be sure to check out his only LA engagement.

SUNDAY 1/18

The Baltimore Waltz, 2:30p Rude Guerilla. A great show about a sister and brother traveling through Europe to cure ATD (Acquired Toilet Disease). The catch? It's in Santa Ana.

Sketch Cage Match, 8p iO. Top writer-performers bring their best stuff to the stage in the hopes of moving on to the next round.
