LAist Roadtrip: The Mall of America, Minnesota
LAist is on the road seeing the country the way it was meant to be seen: quickly and via roadside motels. Currently we are leaving Minnesota on our way to Chicago. But before we left the twin cities we HAD to see this thing called the Mall of America.
The parking lots are named after states, and guess what the first level parking lot is? Thats right, LA. No, we mean California. Hawaii seemed cooler so we drove up there, parked, walked around and to be honest, we were expecting waaaaay bigger. It's big, no doubt, but we were expecting like massive. What's interesting is there are hotels all around the place -- meaning that tourists come here just to shop.
Thursday afternoons at noon are slow for the MOA, so we stopped in to a store that sold toys, Magic the Gathering Cards, and yo-yos and found a guy who was practicing his juggling skillz and figured you'd like it.
More video madness after the jump.
