16-year-old boy fatally shot in gang-related Tustin attack
The person who fatally shot a 16-year-old boy in an apparent gang-related attack in Tustin was at large today, according to police.
The teen was shot around 2 a.m. Sunday on Myrtle Avenue, near Newport Avenue, said Tustin police Sgt. Jeff Blair.
The boy, who was suspected of having gang ties, was shot on the street, then walked to his home, where he died, Blair said.
Police believe one or two suspects approached, shot him with a handgun and fled.
No other suspect information was immediately available.
